WaiACCELERATE APAC: HACKATHON 2021
WaiHackathon APAC 2021 is a 3-day hackathon from December 4th to 6th, which aims to empower AI FOR INCLUSION (our core theme) through technology and AI, such as - inclusive workplaces, classrooms, cities and ecosystems, physical to wellbeing and assistive learning, mental health and neurodiversity, and other tough challenges of the modern day.
WaiHackathon APAC also leads the principle of the “ AI for everyone”, so we welcome participants of any gender or ethnicity who are able to demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit, technological skills and interdisciplinary minds to promote accessibility, justice and 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals!

HOW
(OUR FORMAT)
This hackathon opens to all our peers in APAC and beyond. Our goal is to involve all the passionate people who are ready to create an impact with technology and AI.
You will experience an intensive but engaging and diverse format which involves working with your team and peers. You will be learning from speakers and industry experts, spending individual sessions with mentors aligned with particular topics and expertise, and finally participating in entertaining activities.

Selection Criteria
Our program is industry agnostic and is targeted towards aspiring and early-stage founders and co-founders who are committed to developing a startup that contributes to at least 1 or the 17 UN SDGs 2030.
We will select hackathon participants who are:

Fully committed to completing the 3-day hackathon

Have general knowledge about AI, data science, technology, startups but nontechnical founders are welcome as well (you can find like-minded co-founders and peers during the hackathon)

Have an entrepreneurial and team building spirit

Committed to work on developing a product that meets one of the UNs SDGs 2030
Graduation Criteria
We provide this 3-day fee-free and equity-free program for founders to take their startup from ideation to market. To enforce our mission in helping founders kick start exciting ventures on the right foot and contributing to SDGs, graduates must meet the following criteria:
